GUIA SACRED NECKLACE
The Guia necklace is an instrument to anchor Axé energy with the intention to deepen the sacred union between the person and the Orishas. It is an embrace of Axé energy holding the physical and energy bodies. The Guia necklace also works as an energetic armor to protect the Chakras, as well as the energetic entrances like the navel and the back of the neck.
You will bead your own Oshala necklace to be blessed at the Gira retreat. Oshala Guia necklace kits are available. There is no requirement to wear an Oshala Guia necklace.
In the Gira retreat, you are welcome to request a blessed OSHALA Guia sacred necklace that represents the connection with all ORISHAS.
WHEN YOU RECEIVE AN OSHALA GUIA NECKLACE:
You will set up a Central Altar for Oshala in a special place at your home.
Light and pray a 7-day white candle.
Bathe the Guia necklace in water with basil and let it charge on your Altar.
GUIA NECKLACE PARTS:
(1) Firma: is a prayerful specific Brazilian bead that anchors the Axé Energy in the Guia necklace. It needs to be placed on the back of the neck.
(2) Crystal beads: placed on both sides of the Firma to stabilize it.
(3) Necklace beads: glass beads size 6 in a specific Orisha's color. The Guia necklace needs to be long enough going all the way down half inch below the navel to protect your Chakras.
(4) Thread: recommended a fishing line 10 lb test or more.
WHEN WEAR IT:
The Guia necklace will be worn inside of Giras and Ceremonial Retreats. Also it can be worn anytime on a daily basis when one needs spiritual guidance or extra energetic protection.
..It can be used over or underneath the clothes.
..The person will put the Guia necklace on right before starting a ceremony and take it off after the closing prayer.
..The person could give a sweet kiss to the Guia necklace when putting it on or taking it off, as well as anytime a deeper spiritual connection or protection is needed.
GUIA NECKLACE MAINTENANCE:
Always keep the Guia necklace either on the Central Altar or carry it in a pouch.
The person can consistently clean the Guia necklace choosing one or more of these methods:
.. river water, ocean water, salty water, rain, sunbathe, moon bathe,
.. by smudging, by wrapping around a specific stone on your Altar.
.. If you need a deeper cleansing you can bury your Guia necklace in the earth for 3-7 days.
Remember to protect the Guia necklace by wrapping it in a cloth before you bury it.
Sometimes the energy is so strong that the Guia necklace breaks.
The person can offer gratitude for a broken Guia necklace and intuitively understand the messages behind it.The beads of a broken Guia necklace can be reused after a deeper cleansing.
