TRADITIONAL CONCEPT

Òriṣà are deities that bless humanity with Aṣè/Axé/Ashe energy. They are not God/Goddess themselves, nor humans. They are divine forces in between the only one Creator Olorum (or Olodumaré) and the living creatures on Earth. If we carefully and respectfully translate for a western understanding, they could be understood as African Angels.

THE CREATOR OLORUM OR OLODUMARÉ

They generated the Orixás as blessings to support all living creatures on Mother Earth. Each one of the Orixás are archetypal qualities of the Creator that guides us to a life full of goodness and materialization of all our true needs. Every single whispering of life deserves to enjoy their existence vibrating all the harmony of Oxalá, the discernment of Oxóssi, courage of Ogun, unconditional love of Yemanjá, precision of Yansã, justice of Xangô, beauty of Oxum, abundance of Oxumaré, generosity of Exu, healing of Obaluaê, and compassion of Nanã.

Àṣẹ / AXÉ / ASHE

is the energy of goodness and power of materialization. It is the life force that animates all living things.
The Yoruba name Òriṣà means:
òrì = human head as a vessel of Axé energy + ṣà = guide
Òriṣà is the guide of ones head, ones destiny.

IN AMERICAS, the Orishas are honored as deities, as well as Forces of Nature.
We internalize the Orishas in our life as the water itself, the forest itself. They are the thunder, minerals, earth, fire, air, etc. It is because all the elements of Nature are expressions of the high vibration of the Ashe energy.
Every single part of Nature’s orchestra is responsible for our existence on Mother Earth. We believe that the ancient understanding of each single tree as a divine force, it is the highest knowledge to respect life on our planet.
Any moment we feel the rain on our skin, we celebrate the gifts of the Orisha Oshumare.
Anytime we have the opportunity to be close to a river or waterfall, we sing for mother Oshun.
